Equipment

  • Casserole dish
  • Mixing bowl

Ingredients

  • 4 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 10.5 oz cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp salt, or to taste
  • tsp black pepper, or to taste
  • 1 sleeve Ritz crackers, crushed
  • 6 tbsp butter, melted

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a casserole dish with nonstick spray.
  • In a large bowl, combine shredded chicken, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until evenly mixed.
  • Spread the creamy chicken mixture evenly into the prepared casserole dish.
  • Sprinkle the crushed Ritz crackers evenly over the top of the chicken mixture.
  • Drizzle melted butter over the cracker layer.
  • Bake for 20 to 30 minutes, until the casserole is hot throughout and the topping is golden and crisp. Serve warm.

Notes

Use fully cooked chicken. Rotisserie chicken works well. Adjust salt and pepper to taste. For the crispiest topping, add the crushed Ritz crackers right before baking.
