Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground pork or chicken
  • 30 wonton wrappers
  • 3 green onions, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • ½ tsp salt

Instructions

  • In a bowl, combine ground meat, green onions, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper. Mix well until fully combined.
  • Place a small amount of filling in the center of each wonton wrapper. Moisten edges with water, fold, and seal tightly.
  • Bring chicken broth and water to a boil. Add sliced carrots and cook until slightly tender.
  • Add wontons to the boiling broth and cook until they float and are fully cooked through.
  • Add bok choy or cabbage and simmer briefly until wilted. Adjust seasoning if needed and serve hot.

Notes

Do not overfill wontons to prevent breaking. Keep wrappers covered while assembling. You can freeze uncooked wontons for later use. Best served immediately for ideal texture.
